Manufactured in copper and highly polished to reproduce the old Victorian copper style lamps, this lantern is simply striking. It is lacquered to help prevent it from tarnishing and can be offered in polished brass on request. The lantern comes with a 'wrought iron frog’ that is attached to the lantern, and fits over the collar of the post. This is galvanized and powder coated black. Can be used on lamp posts, wall mounted brackets, gate post top lamps or a patio pedestal.

This range of metal lanterns has been fabricated with price in mind, while keeping style and longevity. It is manufactured in mild steel, then zinc plated before being powder coated. It is a black version of the copper lantern, without the cost of using copper. This range of outside lanterns can be used on lamp posts, wall mounted brackets, gate post top lamps or a patio pedestal.
The wrought iron frog was used to supply gas to the mantle many years ago, and it is the traditional way of mounting the metal lanterns and outdoor candle lanterns onto the post. It has an internal entry so they can fit tightly to your lamp post or wall mounting bracket, and can be easily clamped to your post using the four bolts threaded into it.
Lamp posts are of a cast iron construction with an industrial steel centre tube, so we can cut the lamppost to your height specification. This also has the bonus of being able to flex in high winds like modern day commercial lighting. A square plate base makes it very easy to install and you can bolt it directly to the ground (bolts not included). The lamp post is primed and then powder coated black to give a strong durable finish. Other colours are available to coordinate with metal lanterns and outdoor candle lanterns.

To make it easy to install the base of the post has a square plate cast into it so you can bolt it directly to the concrete base (bolts not included). The lampposts are powder coated but in a few years we recommend you repaint with Hamerite paint.
You can find a large selection of wall mounted lamps and outside lanterns which will match those used on the lamp posts. The wall brackets are made from aluminium, so it is light yet very strong to support our range of lanterns. It comes primer and powder coated in black.
