Manufactured in copper and highly polished to reproduce the old Victorian style copper lamps, this lantern is simply striking. It is lacquered to prevent it from tarnishing and can be offered in polished brass on request. The lantern comes with a “wrought iron frog” that is attached to the lantern and fits over collar of the post. This is galvanized and powder coated black. They can be used on lamp posts, wall mounted brackets, gate post top lights or a patio pedestals, metal lanterns and outside lanterns

 

Our range of black Victorian lanterns have been manufactured with price in mind without neglecting traditional styling and durability. It is UK manufactured in mild steel, which is then zinc plated before being powder coated. It is a black version of the copper lantern, without the cost of using copper. This range of outside lights and lanterns can be used on lamp post tops, wall mounted brackets, gate post top lamps or a patio pedestal.

 

The wrought iron frog was used to supply gas to the mantle many years ago, and it is traditional way of mounting the metal lantern and outdoor lanterns, on the post. It has an internal entry so they can fit tightly to your lamp post or wall mounting bracket, and can be easily clamped using the four bolts threaded into it.

Our traditional, Victorian style lamp posts are of cast iron construction with an industrial steel centre tube, so we can cut the lamppost to your height specification. This also has the bonus of being able to flex in high winds like modern commercial lighting. A square plate base makes it very easy to install and you can bolt it directly to the ground (bolts not included). The lamp post is primed and then powder coated black to give a strong durable finish. Other colours are available to coordinate with metal lanterns and outdoor wall top lights.
