This vintage feature was originally used on the Isle of Skye in the small farming Crofts around the 1920’s. This unique implement was used for making furrows to plant potatoes. At the end of the row the horse was turned around and then with a small adjustment to the implement the potatoes were covered over to make an ideal ridge furrow for the potatoes to grow in.

 

This is a rare chance for collectors of vintage machinery to own a piece of Scottish Rural Heritage or as a feature in your garden to look at and cherish for years to come, knowing that it came from the Isle of Skye.
